My God, I love Thee; not because

like a lamb that is led to the slaughter, and like a sheep that before
its shearers is dumb.
4: Surely he has borne our griefs and carried our sorrows; yet we esteemed him stricken, smitten by
God, and
afflicted.
5: But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities; upon him was the chastisement that made us whole, and with his stripes we are healed.

46: Then Jesus, crying with a loud voice, said, "Father, into thy hands I commit my spirit!"

all was now finished, said (to fulfil the

"I thirst."
29: A bowl full of vinegar stood there; so they put a sponge full of the vinegar on hyssop and held it to his mouth.
30: When Jesus had received the vinegar, he said,
"It is finished";
and he bowed his head and gave up his spirit.
